Lauv Gets It Right (Again) with Chilly Break Up Banger ‘Reforget’!

In March, I introduced New York-based singer-producer Lauv and his ridiculously good single, “The Other.”

Well finally after reaching over 600,000 plays on Soundcloud, the rising star has given us more to work with this week: “Reforget,” a song crafted alongside his frequent collaborator Michael Matosic. Where “The Other” dealt with “the internal battle you go through coming upon a break up,” “Reforget” tackles all the feels you deal with after the actual break up. “Lost in the light and I don’t know what night it is/ You’re somewhere else I’m drinking not to guess/ Blurry bodies but you’re on my mind/ We let it go now I’m full of rum and regret/ I go out just so I can reforget,” Lauv sings on top of the chilly, slow-burning electro production.
