Aussie sis duo Nervo are no strangers to the high-profile collaboration game. Just last month, Mim and Liv joined forces with Kreayshawn, Dev and Japanese producer Alisa on their straight-up bonkers club track “Hey Ricky” and I’ve been hooked ever since (Seriously, it’s like a problem).
This week, the girls reunite with their fellow Aussie sis Kylie Minogue – who they worked with back in 2010 on Aphrodite highlight “Put Your Hands Up (If You Feel Love)” – on a brand new track titled “The Other Boys,” which also happens to feature Scissor Sisters frontman Jake Shears and disco legend Nile Rodgers! Say what!?! Nervo, Kylie, Jake, and Nile all on one song? No way!?! YESSSS WAY!!
The result is all levels of disco-pop euphoria layered between stomping pulsations, glittering waves of synths, and Nile‘s funky guitar licks. The song shimmers with a classic kind of disco sheen but manages to infuse some modern EDM/Nervo flare as well, making this collaboration, quite simply, a no-brainer. Consider your summer complete – YOU’RE WELCOME!
Nervo’s long-awaited debut album Collateral arrives this Friday (July 24) – Pre-order on iTunes now!
