Carly Rae Jepsen Continues Winning Streak with ‘E·MO·TION’ Cut, ‘Your Type’!

We’ve had the great pleasure of hearing more than half of Carly Rae Jepsen‘s upcoming album E•MO•TION now: From the brilliant second single “Run Away From Me” to “Warm Blood” to last week’s “Making The Most Of The Night” — and they’re all killer. There’s simply not a single dud in the entire set. Not one!

The pint-sized diva just dropped yet another cut from the collection called “Your Type,” and this one is certainly no exception.

Crafted alongside Rami Yacoub, Carl Falk and Wayne Hector, the track is as immediate and insanely euphoric as the rest of what we’ve already heard but with a more electro, indie-esque sound than Carly‘s usual bubblegum-pop affair.

“I know that you’re in town/ Oh won’t you come around to the spot that we met,” she sweetly sings over throbbing pulsations before launching into arguably her most immediate chorus to date: “I’m not the type of girl for you/ And I’m not going to pretend/ That I’m the type of girl you call more than a friend/ And I’d break all the rules for you/ Break my heart and start again/ I’m not the type of girl you call more than a friend.” AHHHHH!!! Can someone hold me?!? We’ve all been there!

But seriously, this is simply sublime. There’s no doubt about it: E•MO•TION is coming for that crown in 2015.
