Between “I Really Like You,” the dreamy Dev Hynes-produced “All That,” the sugary-sweet title track, the flaw free “Run Away With Me” and the amazingly weird “Warm Blood“, Carly Rae Jepsen has already given us plenty of proof that her upcoming album, E·MO·TION, is undeniably one of the best pop records of 2015. (It’s a straight up fact at this point. Don’t fight me on it.)
Today, the pint-sized songstress has decided to drop “Making The Most Of The Night,” which was co-written by Sia – and guess what? It’s another irresistibly great highlight from the anticipated LP, due out August 21st. “I know you’ve had a rough time / Here I come to hijack you, hijack you, I love you / I’m making the most of the night,” Carly sings on the shout-along hook. Much like the rest of E·MO·TION, the bouncy shimmering production evokes all sorts of euphoric, nostalgic feels. I can’t get enough of it!
