It’s been over four years since the release of his brilliant debut album, Mirrorwriting. In that time, the British singer-songwriter-producer has stayed out of the limelight, emerging briefly on Disclosure‘s Settle standout “January” and Portico‘s “Memory of Newness” off their latest LP Living Fields.
This month, Jamie officially makes his return with the premiere of his new single called “Sharpness,” a silky smooth neo-soul number driven by a stupid good blend of moody, echoing electronic sounds and R&B-leaning beats. “Every day is the day that you saved me/ Light into darkness cut on the sharpness of your love,” Jamie croons on the bouncy production.
The tender, more grown-up take on his signature sound makes it seem as though Jamie is finally ready to resume his place – Get into it!
