One Direction Prepare For Liftoff In ‘Drag Me Down’ Music Video!

One Direction head to space is something I never thought I’d say, but here I am. The UK foursome take it to space in the new music video for their latest smash, “Bring Me Down“!

Directed by long term collaborators Ben and Gabe Turner from Fulwell 73, filming took place at NASA’s Johnson Space Center around the NASA T-38 aircraft jets that are used by astronauts to train for spaceflight, and the NASA WB-57 High Altitude Research Aircraft, a specialized aircraft that is used for high atmosphere research work. In the clip we see each of the boys training to go up into space in different parts of the Space Vehicle Mockup Facility. Liam trains inside the International Space Station replica, Louis is seen driving the Space Exploration Vehicle rover, Niall was filmed on the Partial Gravity Simulator, and Harry meets Robonaut, a human-like robot, a model of which is now aboard the International Space Station.

There is absolutely no connection to the song whatsoever – buy hey, who doesn’t love space?!?

‘Levels’: Nick Jonas Comes Through With A Hot Banger!

Here’s the thing: Nick J‘s been killin’ it. What do you do when you’re killin’ it? You continue to kill it!

Now after spending the last year successfully breaking free from the Jonas Brothers with his genuinely fantastic smashes “Jealous” and “Chains” from his self-titled debut, the 22-year-old singer is ready kick off a new era with the premiere of his new single: “Levels“!

The Max Martin produced, Bebe Rexha, Ali Payam and Savan Kotecha co-penned gem is a certifiable club banger, packed with a kind of strutting, finger-snapping funkiness and a slight ’80’s sheen. It’s a slick and polished production from start to end, but it’s that instant rush of a chorus that truly seals the deal: “I know, we can get higher/ There’s levels to your love/ Yeah, there’s levels to your love/ And I know, we can get higher/ There’s levels to your love/ And I keep on climbing up,” he declares above the throbbing pulsations.

It’s a young, more playful approach to his R&B-pop sound but there’s simply no denying it – “Levels” is a hit. Who’s mad about it? I’m not.

Lana Del Rey Reveals ‘Honeymoon’ Tracklist & Shares Hazy Ballad ‘Terrence Loves You’!

Hot off the heels of her bad ass “High By The Beach” video premiere, Lana Del Rey has decided to reveal the official artwork and tracklist for her upcoming third studio album Honeymoon, which is set to hit stores on September 18th via Interscope Records.

The 14-track set features the previously released title track, lead single “High By The Beach,” and the just released iTunes pre-order instant grat track “Terrence Loves You,” a hazy, slow-building ballad that sees our beloved Queen of Darkness reminiscing on a past love: “But I lost myself when I lost you/ But I still got jazz when I’ve got those blues/ I lost myself and I lost you too/ And I still get trashed, baby, when I hear your tunes,” she sings above the delicate piano lines and cinematic strings. It’s Ultraviolence Lana at its very best.

Carrie Underwood Announces Fifth LP ‘Storyteller’ & Debuts Lead Single ‘Smoke Break’!

I’m no hardcore country music stan, but I do enjoy the country music stylings of Legend Carrie Underwood.

From “Jesus Take The Wheel” to “Before He Cheats” to “So Small” to “Cowboy Casanova” to “Blown Away” to last year’s “Something In The Water,” the American Idol diva’s consistently served us massive country-pop records for years. SHE CAN NOT BE TOUCHED!

This week, Carrie is dropping off a brand new single from her just-announced fifth studio album Storyteller – due out October 23rd – and it’s called “Smoke Break.” And it’s really, really great! And also a little unexpected (but in a good way, duh).

The song centers around needing a break from life’s grind, something Carrie‘s no doubt experiencing in new ways since having her baby son Isaiah in February. The first verse is dedicated to moms, the second a hard-working son, and by the end, it’s an empowering anthem for all! “I don’t drink/ But sometimes I need a stiff drink/ Sipping from a high, full glass/ Let the world fade away,” Carrie sings on the foot stompin’ chorus. “Yeah, and I don’t smoke / But sometimes I need a long drag/ Yeah, I know it might sound bad/ But sometimes I need a, sometimes I need smoke break, yeah.”

Relatable. Memorable. Overall strong song. WIN! WIN! WIN!
